Posting an ad on Station.lk is quick and easy!

Click on “POST AN AD” button and follow the instructions.

If you have not logged in at the time of entering the ad details you will have to login at the end of the process. You can create a new login with us as well if you are new to our service.

We will review your ad’s content and images and once complete it will go live. This usually takes less than 1 hour during our office hours.

To edit an ad, please go to your ad's page and click on the "Edit ad" option. Do the changes and Save. Once Station.lk approves your changes the ad will go live.

You can delete your ad whenever you want or once the item is sold out simply by going to your ad page after login to the system.

You need to be logged in to either edit or delete your ad.

No. This is absolutely free service and you can post any amount of ads that are valid as per our terms.

You only have to register if you wish to place an advertisement and for browsing doesn’t require to register.

No, the information that you provided when registering does not show in your advertisement. Only what you need to show will display. Such as user name & contact number. However, all the information you provide in the description area will be displayed.

We have categories to fit almost any advertisement, so it’s up to you to decide the section you required. However, our most popular sections include Vehicle, Electronics, Mobiles, Jobs and Real Estate. Placing your ad in the correct category will improve the chances of seeing it by more people who are searching for similar products or services.

We work from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. We are closed during weekends and all public and mercantile holidays in Sri Lanka. But if you want to get in touch with us during our off office hours you can always send a message to us using our email, WhatsApp, Viber or Live chat and we will get in touch with you once we are back in office.

The ad will display for 45 days from the day you originally submitted.

You can track the status of your ads easily by login to your account and visit your ads. Once the ad is posted, the admin will go through the content of your ad to ensure that the content is valid as per our terms and applicable laws of the country. Once that review is done the ad will be approved and will be displayed on the site. Meanwhile, you won’t be able to see the ad.

If an ad is rejected by the admin, you will be notified via email indicating the reason(s). Hence providing an active valid email is vital. We will be rejecting ads due to various. Some of the most common reasons are listed below.

  • Inappropriate content
  • False information
  • Low-quality photos of products
  • Illegal products
  • Fake accounts and fake posting
  • Posted images are not of the real product
  • Adding multiple ads for the same product

Station.lk has the right to select what to be displayed on the site that complies with our terms.

To change the details of your account, log in to your account and go to your account's "profile" page.
